Visits to prosperous villages of Nize, sbidin, Vekse. Much more used to city influences - e.g. most of the men work away, and there are summer residences of
rich city people in Nize and sbidin, but women and children still stared, greatly intrigued by differences in dress, etc. Much curiosity about us.
Istanbullu hanm now married to Nize remarked that the village women were for a long time very curious about her (see 2. p. 29).
