Visit from Alaynl women visiting the Trbeh. P. and I both noted that their manners compared favourably to women here. Greetings from every one in turn - eached
kissed my hand on departure and gave the farewell. Said goodbye to Paul also who was waiting at the door and touched him for his blessing. Less blatant
curiosity and staring, more polite conversation. But these were all either wives or from the families of "ustas" - probably the pick of Alaynl women, with
husbands who go regularly each year to the towns.
