22/8-24/8 Sakaltutan's neighbouring villages (Sosun, Sleymanl, Travun, iraz, Glveren)
all have mosques and hocas. Met hoca in Travun and Glveren, besides Sakaltutan.
Glveren hoca father of Sakaltutan hoca. Both old men.
i(0039 Hahmet Aslan) and his friend going to Meccah; friend did namaz after supper, and then both together.
Too tired to follow details, but they did whole thing several times, including once only with
Ahmet chanting and the old man keeping time.
Hocas are chosen/elected - okumu bir adam.
After the above namaz, they both sat on their haunches, pulled out their rosaries, and went through
a further ritual. The old man also did this in the morning. Towards the end, a cupping of hands.
In the evening they questioned me about my religion [and seemed to say that Allah had
appointed each to his own way]
