Note:

22/6 Deirmen (Sakaltutan)

23/6 (i) i(0039Hahmet) and 4 Sleymanli, other side of ayr {meadow}, in the rye. Dug by i(Mehmet Aksoyb) and and i(Mustafa Aksoyb) - well also. Will be like
the Sleymanli one, suggested from Sleymanli. i(Usta) says they will be able to pump water for irrigation. {gl: they were not} Waiting for stone, engine has
been purchased. Where did i(0039) find 7,000TL? i(0185 A.O) said in loans, commercial loans from city, and from village etc. Mill ready in 1 month

(ii) i(Ibrahim Isik) & i(Mehmet Isik), opposite harman, a cave being excavated.
They are said to have backing from 3 Sosunlu, no confirmation. I objected 2 {mills}cannot work, they say they will fit a sawmill, and only grind flour when
there is plenty of work. I suggested weaving and a dynamo, which they seemed to think reasonable. They were not clear at first, saying they had not gone in
with i(0039). because they were not invited. i(Musa Bingl) asked i(0039) . "dotlar mi sana?" {quarrel}
"Dsmediler".
Other suggestions that there might be ds {quarrel} ( 'i(0039)' kimseye dgsmez) {.... does not quarrel with anyone}
i(Mehmet Ik) & i(Ibrahim Ik) employing 1 razl (relative of i(Melik Unal)'s fiancee), i(Ahmet Karaagac), i(Hasan Unal), i(Mutalip Ko); when I arrived, these
were digging and barrowing away earth, i(Mehmet Ik) and i(Ibrahim Ik) sitting with i(Melik Sahin)

i(0039Hahmet) -{had} idea first; {others} began work first

Abdil (Sleymanli) (half share, i(Fazli Keklik)'s kayn {ZH}) - says it is aklszlk {stupidity}, 2 mills {in one village} "batcaklar" {sink} and will also cut
profits in Sleymanli. Says that of those offering to put up capital, one shilly-shallied (Eitmen), the others were refused as unreliable. States a mill is to
be built at Vengicek, - this i(Haci Ahmet) firmly denied. If such a mill is built, only Sakaltutan and evlik would use Sakaltutan's mill or mills. N.B. 24/6 in
Zerezek - Sleymanli will be the nearest mill, - therefore Sakaltutan will be as near or nearer, goes for Alaynl as well; (also since both mills lie on the main
road, Glveren people may use lorries to bring grain or buy flour).
