The habit is new as in the other local villages.
Asked about landless and ustas - do not coincide, quite a few landless are oban {shepherds}etc.; usually other members of family learn usta {trade}, and one
works the land. (This information volunteered). Also about 20 people rak {apprentice}.

p. 156 23/5 Alayinli. i(Mustafa Aksoyf) {gl: has a different surname in Ankara} visiting from Ankara - started as boot boy, then moved into shop, finally got
a stall of his own in Samanpazar {gl: market in Ankara}, selling trinkets, socks, combs, etc. Claims to make a comfortable living. Is not visited by
Sakaltutan people who go to Ankara. He is 28 now, and left the village 12 years ago.
